Deryn's love for numbers and hard-working nature was demonstrated at an early age when, immediately after matriculating in 1995, she opted to simultaneously study accounting and assist in her father's business. Her relentless, deadline-driven temperament saw her reach her career goal of becoming a financial manager at the age of 28.
Deryn's passion for figures and financial management is rooted in her precise personality, and reflected in her love for ballet. As much as ballet is known for being graceful and elegant, it relies on perfect balance, technique and attention to detail.
Many of the characteristics attributed to ballet are evident in the way Deryn directs her business, and carries out its day-to-day operations. Her deftness and elegance matched by her exacting pursuit of perfection, her relentless sense of purpose underpinned by her poise under pressure.
